Vanamahotsava held in Maryvale High School

28 – 07 – 08: The Vanamahotsava programme was conducted in Maryvale High School today by the Science Club of the school under the guidance of the science teachers Miss Mamatha and Mrs. Jayalakshmi.
The programme started with a prayer song which was sung by the members of Science Club. Sindhura Rao and party welcomed the gathering through a short welcome skit. Rahima Banu welcomed the audience through her welcome speech. Prithesh Dsouza thanked the gathering. Clitton Tauro spoke about the importance of Vanamahotsava. The president of the programme Mrs. Pramila Dmello told the students about the importance of plants and trees and how we should protect them.
The students of the Science Club conducted the entertainment programme which included dance, facts about the olden and the modern woodcutter which was acted through a skit, song – about nature, skit – which tells the feelings of a child for a tree which is about to be chopped down, joke and planting of sapling.
Headmistress of the school Rev. Sr. Roselita was present for the programme. Sneha Dsouza compered the programme.
