A Promising Entrepreneur : Alan Vincent D’Souza

This is the story of a exceptional Kinnigolian youth who has not only chased his dreams but has fulfilled them with his dedication and hard work at a very young age.
Alan Vincent D’souza who is the son of Valerian and Violet D’souza of St Josephs Ward had nurtured within him a dream to be a entrepreneur and to set up his own corporate venture right from his childhood. Thanks to his exemplary intellectual capabilities, hard work and age defying vision he has fulfilled his dream at a very tender age of 21.
Alan had showed promise right from his early academic days. He was caught young by Infosys in their “Catch Them Young" initiative when he was in Class 8. Two weeks of training in Internet Technologies and Programming by them paved a way for him to keep his first steps towards acquirement of essential skills and exposure.
His early grasping of the cutting edge knowledge in the emerging field of Internet Technologies and graphics gave him early advantage and boosted him up to work as a free lancer for a company at the tender age of 15. Alan did his B.E. graduation at reputed PESIT institution of Bangalore and later he started his career as a Corporate Graphic Designer before moving on to hardcore web programming.
Born on 27th September, 1987 in Kinnigoli is the youngest in a family of three children. He holds his family close to his heart and the name Vavia is a derivative of the initials of his parents, which he had conceived way back in his childhood. Vavia came to existence in December 2008. However it was officially inaugurated and blessed on 8th November 2009 by Most Reverend Henry D’Souza Bishop of Bellary Diocese.

Vavia Technologies, is today a full-fledged IT company specialized in providing solutions to business through Internet based technologies. It currently has around 50 employees and Alan is the Founder CEO and Managing Director.
Recently, in the “The Power of Ideas” B-Plan contest organized by the Economic Times, the Plan developed by Vavia Technologies emerged as one of the few selected ones among over 12,500 entries. This has served as an early recognition for Vavia’s capabilities.
At a tender age Alan has shown tremendous talent, courage and exemplary vision to dream so big. It’s a commendable accomplishment for his age. We along with all fellow Kinnigolians wish him bright future and success in his future endeavors.
