Decennial Celebration of Women Organisation Held

The concluding ceremony of the Decennial celebration of the Ujwal Women organisation of Kinnigoli Parish was held on 7th February evening herein Little Flower School Hall. Rev.Fr. Alfred J.Pinto, Parish Priest of Kinnigoli Church presided over the function.

Fr.Ronald Coutinho,Director of Women Organisation Mangalore Diocese, Fr.Patrick Rodrigues, Director of Fr.Muller's Hospital, Mrs. Leena Roche, President of Women Organisation of Mangalore Diocese, Sr.Agnesia, Director of Shubada and Sanjeevini Institutions. Mr.Lionel Pinto, Vice President of Kinnigoli Parish Council, Mrs.Edna D'souza, President of Women Organisation, Kinnigoli Deanery were the chief guests of the function.

In his inaugural speech while congratulating the members of women organisation Fr.Partick Rodrigues said that while educating our children, we must teach them the moral values in their life along with the education to build a happy family. He suggested the womens organisation to work in this regard.

Presidents who served for the organisation for the last 10 years were honoured. Directors who served the organisation were honoured. Elder members who served the organisation were also honoured on this special occassion.

In his presidential speech Fr.Alfred Pinto, while congratulating the women for doing good work in the parish, helping the needy people, adviced them to come up in national level and serve the country.

Mrs.Gretta D'souza, president of Ujwal women organisation welcomed the guest and the gathering. Mrs.Irene Rebello president of the Decennial year report. Mrs.Philomena D'souza, proposed vote of thanks. Mrs.Philomena sequeira compered the program. Cultural programme was held after the stage programme.
